Photo of Dr. Shlomo Benartzi

Dr. Shlomo Benartzi

Dr. Shlomo Benartzi is a world-renowned behavioral economist and co-creator, alongside Nobel Laureate Richard Thaler, of the groundbreaking Save More Tomorrow™ program that has helped more than 26 million Americans strengthen their retirement security. In his latest independent research, Dr. Benartzi applied 10,000 probabilistic simulations to examine what happens when a portion of a taxable bond portfolio is reallocated to participating whole life insurance — evaluating protection, dividend-driven growth potential, and tax treatment together. The findings challenge conventional thinking and offer a powerful, research-driven case for viewing whole life not just as protection, but as a resilient, holistic asset within a modern financial plan.
